Our second-year PhD scholar Paula Klavina was awarded the RCSI International Secondment Award 2023.
As part of this, she spent 2 months at Professor Nicola Mutch’s Laboratory in the Institute of Medical Sciences at the University of Aberdeen.
Paula was trained in various fibrinolysis assays designed in the Mutch lab which allowed her to generate valuable data for her thesis.
In her spare time, she got to explore Scotland while visiting some friends who had moved there, enjoy long walks along the beach in Aberdeen and try out various Scottish snacks recommended by the Mutch lab members.
